Project UNIT 6: "MACHINES"

This is our last project. It is going to be very short an easy.
You have to set in pairs or groups of 3 people.
Here are the contents:
SIMPLE MACHINES
-Inclined plane
-Pulley
-Lever: class 1, class 2, class 3.
MACHINES
-Energy: what is it?
-Energy sources
-The function of machines

What you have to do is search one example of each in real life and bring a picture or drawing (you can bring it printed or in a pen drive).

You have to share all the contents, but it is important each pupil in the group says at least one of:
Classes of lever
Energy sources
The function of machines

OPTIONAL:
At home, you can build an example of an inclined plane, pulley or lever, or you can build all of them.
This isn´t compulsory, so if you don´t do it, it doesn´t matter.

ENGLISH EXAM

We are going to have the last English exam.

It is going to be another review of the course.

Here are the contents you have to study:

-Past simple (affirmative, negative, interrogative)
      Irregular verbs: to be, to go, to eat, to have, to buy,
         to build, to spend, to learn, to sit, to meet to think

-There is/there are

-Prepositions

-Comparatives and superlatives

Project UNIT 6: "ANCIENT HISTORY"

This is the last project we are going to do for social sciencce.

For it, we are going to do a "puppets show"

We have already formed the groups. You have to divide what you have to say with the puppets. REMEMBER you all have to speak about each part of the unit.
Here are the contents of the unit:

-Phoenicians
-Ancient Greeks
-Carthaginians
-Romans
      Rome
      The conquest of the Iberian Peninsula
      Important historical figures and events
      Romanisation of the Iberian Peninsula: Roman legacy
      Roman citizens from Hispania
      The fall of the Roman Empire

Project MATERIALS AND FORCES

To prepare this project we had to investigate about gravity, magnetism, friction or density.

Later, we did at class some experiments we found to show it.

We had a lot of fun!!

Project PREHISTORY

During this term we have leant about Prehistory.

For that, we have made a timeline.

Project UNIT 5: MATTER, MATERIALS AND FORCES

In this unit we are going to act like scientists.
You are going to experiment with the material while you learn.
This is what you have to study:

-Materials have different properties: you have to find an object that has all the materials, where you can find them in that object and define the materials.

-Mass, volume and density: you have to explain each one and give some examples.

-What is a force? Types: you have to answer that question and say the two types of forces you can find.

-Explain and show an experiment about: gravity, magnetism, friction, buoyancy and change shape (elastic and non-elastic). You have to search some experiments about all that concepts to show them to the class, and define that concepts too.

REMEMBER you have to study everything. For TUESDAY 24th you have to search all that experiments, and you are going to explain them to your group. You can search all of them or each one searches one.
Try to find different experiments than the ones we did in class.
I don´t want you to study by memory, so try to explain it on your own words.

Project UNIT 5: "PREHISTORY"

If we all finish the project tomorrow, we are going to start the exposition of it on Thursday 19th.
Here you have what you have to study:

-What is prehistory?
-Stone Ages: 
    Paleolithic and "Altamira Paintings"
    Mesolithic
    Neolithic and "Stonehenge"
-Metal Ages:
   Copper Age
   Bronze Age
   Iron Age
   
   The Celts and the "Toros de Guisando"
   The Iberians, the "Dama de Elche" and the "Cueva de Menga"

You can choose a character or invent one to explain the project.

REMEMBER: you can study everything or distribute it between the members of the team.
You all have to answer the question: "What is prehistory?".
It is also necessary you know at least something about "Stone Ages", "Metal Ages" and choose between Celts or Iberians.
